Raising Awareness

We are planning to do things around the area such as putting up posters which highlight key images to increase the awareness of the areas in Newtown to the residents as well as those in the neighboring areas. This is the first step in reaching out to the community and providing an outlet to the outside to express the need to be heard and could potentially become the catalyst to improve the community engagement in Newtown.

We are also planning to chalk spray paint a warning sign to cyclists cutting across the grass in Newtown Park to help raise awareness to the cyclists that the space is not just for them as a shortcut but a space that should be shared to the users and residents to the park as well.

These actions are only the beginning of what we hope to be the start of a better improvement to the area in regard to raising awareness of Newtown. We hope to work together with the local community and in the future would handover the mantle to the residents to carry on this legacy in the hopes to create a community cohesion with the residents of Newtown as the main force.
